My search began 20 years ago. I have compiled a huge amount of documentation from census, legal documents, land records, family bible, pictures and letters. Everything in my family tree has been verified. Should you disagree, please contact me!

As of February 2007, I have been able to trace back on my father’s side (Brown) back to 1802. The family story passed from generation to generation is that we are from Ireland but I have not found any proof of that. The last document I found was the death certificate of my gggrandfather, who was John E Brown. It showed that his father was John Brown & his mother Ann Andrews. I believe this is a human error as the 1870 census lists his mother living with him. Her name was Lydia Longbottom age 68. Perhaps the Longbottom was a second marriage. Also, John’s second wife was Anna Andrews(not our line). My main aim right now is the Brown side. I have been successful with many other lines of mine and my husband’s.
My youngest brother, James Brown, kindly submitted his DNA for the Brown DNA project. To date, we have over 200 Brown families and a match rate of about 56%. We really need more Brown families from the upper USA States, Canada and abroad so if you are interested please contact the following!

I believe, that if we share, we will all meet our goal to find our original roots. My goal is to find the exact country & town or village, my ancestors and my husband’s came from. Feel free to contact me as I am willing to share, I have more information not listed and quite a few pictures of different lines.

Hello
I have just discovered that Wilbur Leslie Ogden was my great grandfather. Suffice to say that it has been a long search and the answer to a family mystery. Wilbur died in 1928 in Buffalo, New York. Do you have any other info. regarding his life or death? I do know he was a fireman in 1901 in Ontario. Anything else would be gratefully received.
Thank You!
Hi John,
Hope you don’t mind I am posting part of our e-mails. If you find anything new please let me know. Keep in touch.

Hello Carol
Thank you for responding with all that great information about Wilbur. My Grandmother, Gladys Irene Huxtable was Wilbur’s daughter. She was born on July 03 1904 in Oshawa, Ontario. She just passed away last year at the age of 104. Her mother was Florence Erridge of Oshawa. Florence married in 1908 to Orville MacInally.
